Clearly this is a Christmas record..though Sunga Rose was smart in choosing less common songs making "What Will Santa Claus Say" more refreshing then it would otherwise be. I think this was the first completely acoustic record we'd done in the studio. It's a classic 30's era Jazz production. Fairly straight ahead recording.. piano, upright bass, ukulele, trumpet, trombone, saxaphone, violin, and voice. Sunga's dedication to the era really shows in her aesthetic as well as her choice of players..each of them staying very close to the musical styles of that time. www.missroserhythm.com/recordings.php
